CLAYTONIA or Miner’s Lettuce. This is a fabulous salad plant, quite
delicious . It originated North America and was used by the Miners in the
Gold Rush as a prevention against scurvy (hence its common name) .
It is amazingly rich in vitamins – 100 grams contributing 33% of Vitamin C,
22% of Vitamin C and 10 % iron of your daily needs (plus minerals) – amazing
for such a tiny plant.
I accidentally dropped the seed packet into my tray & now have about a
million small plants so if anyone want any let me know!
It also self seeds very readily so is amazingly useful..
Yes please I’d love some seedlings. Can they wait until I see you on Tuesday evening?
